Paul Ring

Paul Ring
Paul Ring is the President of Montara Ventures, established in 2018 to help clients create value through the development and construction of exceptional spaces where people and businesses thrive. With expertise spanning residential, office, affordable housing, senior living, student housing, hotels, retail, and mixed-use projects. Paul has worked on over 40 developments, focusing on urban infill sites.
Paul served as Executive Vice President of Development and Construction at Urban Catalyst Opportunity Zone Fund. Previously, he led the development team at The Core Companies, overseeing over $400 million in mixed-use and residential projects. His experience includes all project phases, from acquisition and entitlement to design, construction, and warranty review.
A licensed Civil and Structural Engineer in California, Paul holds a BS in Architectural Engineering from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo and an MBA from UCLA Anderson School of Management, where he specialized in real estate. He is an active member of ULI, a board member of the Housing Leadership Council of San Mateo County and serves on the finance committee of Habitat for Humanity East Bay/Silicon Valley. Paul brings a comprehensive understanding of development, entitlements, and construction, with a proven track record of delivering high-quality, innovative projects.

Jonathan Fishpaw
Jonathan Fishpaw is a seasoned real estate professional with over a decade of experience in the commercial real estate industry, working with Paul for over 10 years. A lifelong Bay Area native with deep roots in Silicon Valley and the South Bay, Jonathan has played a pivotal role in the development of more than 1,000 apartments in the region. His expertise spans financial management, entitlement processing, and project execution across multifamily, office, hospitality, and retail sectors.
Jonathan leverages his extensive industry knowledge to provide strategic services to property owners and developers. His background also includes private equity, where he served as a Product Manager at Partners Group, advising institutional clients on over $1B in investments and providing fund-level analysis and portfolio strategy. An active member of NAIOP Silicon Valley and the Urban Land Institute (ULI), Jonathan is committed to driving innovation and success in Bay Area real estate development.

Lisa Ring
Lisa is the president of LOR Planning & Environmental Consulting, LLC, based in San Mateo, CA. With over 20 years of experience in planning, design review, entitlements, and environmental review, Lisa has worked across public and private sectors, managing complex office, mixed-use, residential, institutional, and transit-oriented development projects. She has extensive expertise in CEQA processes and specializes in urban infill and transit-oriented developments.
Lisa provides strategic land use planning, project management, and entitlement services, working to deliver innovative, community-focused solutions that exceed expectations
